i sanded this helmet with 400 grit, and used a PPG primer. then i used 222S Du Pont Adhison promoter, not nessary but i like to be safe, im going to be putting alot of tape on this helmet.<br />

After guide coating and sanding i found minor damage to the helm . useing some fiberglass filler i filled it in and sanded till smooth then painted it Flame Red AA. <br />

cut out peices of masking that will be your ripped areas and stickem. then use AA deail black to cover the helm , 3 coats did good for me.<br />

After it was Dry i Stenciled in small screaming faces by = Fraser, and then i clear coated to lock down the under laying graf-x.<br />

just some detail so you see to be creative when useing someone elses stencils hahaha. youll see what i do with this later.<br />

Scuff up the clear coat with 800 grit, and start laying down your design . This is 3M 1/8 inch fine line blue tape, i use to get my graf-x down.. this picture you can only see 1 rip being done. what i do is, i go slowly and do 1 rip at a time. i lay down my blue tape then lay down masking over it cut on the blue tape to reveal my painting area. then go in with base coat white AA or transparent white AA and fill it in . then hit it with silver and transparent black for shading next get detail black and make your lines.. this helm got no sliver cause customer chose not to. <br />

mostly done. all tenicles are layed out. and flowing. next i freehand with transparent black for extra shading and shadows under the tnticles. <br />
it dosnt look very dark now cause the flash fills the detail but it is. next i use flame red AA and do pin striping along the edges of the rips and i hit the brush with my fingers to get a splatter effect going for a blood look. customer loved it.<br />

Clear coated with 3 coats of Omni Clear. then wet sanded with 1200 then 2000 and high speed buffed on my new patent pending helmet buffer stand with 3M polish.<br />
